Auto Assault How To: Auction House & Mail
Auction House
Auction House and Mail are two new complimentary systems all drivers can now make use of in the Central Wastelands. They were designed to ease trade across each individual race, allowing multiple users to bid for valuable items, as well as secure delivery of items across vast distances for auction or tournament winnings.
The main purpose of the Auction House is to allow players to purchase and sell items in Auto Assault, whether they are crafting supplies, weapons, or tricks and trims. The Auction Houses will be located in most towns, indicated by a black and white dollar sign on the mini-map. Only players of the same faction will be able to buy and sell from each other by using the Auction House at this time.
To access the Auction House menu, simply left click on the Auction House Terminal, which has a blue sign of a black dollar symbol hovering above it. The menu will appear with two window tabs at the lower left-hand part of the menu. These tabs are named Browse and Create. The Browse tab has options that will allow you to filter through auctions by item name, seller name, class, level, status and type. If your search yields a large amount of results, you can sort through the auction results by name, rarity, price, etc. In addition, this tab displays your character's money in the bottom right corner and how much it will cost to bid on a particular item, or to buy it out completely. If you would like to purchase the item, click the item in the display window and then click either Buyout or Bid.
By clicking the Create tab, you can now create your own auction. Simply open your cargo or vehicle hardpoints and click-drag the item that you wish to sell into the black box at the top of the menu. When you drop the item into the sell box, the Auction House will generate a starting price based on the price that you could sell the item to a vendor. Please be aware this is only a suggested starting price and you can alter it to your liking. Note the deposit for selling the item is based on that particular item's worth. Once you have indicated the starting and buyout price (if any), please choose how long you would like your item to be up for auction. When you have completed this process, click the "Place Auction" button. If you would like to view the auction that you have just created, you can go back to the Browse tab, click update, and search for your newly added auction.
The Mail System
To compliment the Auction House, a Mail system has also been implemented. This will allow Auto Assault players to send items, money and messages to other players of the same faction for a small fee. The terminal can be identified on by the white envelope symbol on the mini-map.
Left-click on the Mail Terminal to activate the menu. In cities, the terminal has a yellow sign floating above it with an envelope symbol in it. You will notice two tabs at the bottom left of the menu: Receive and Send. If you have mail it will be display in the Receive tab. Please note a timer under each mail item which shows how long you have until the item is permanently deleted. To read the mail, left-click the particular piece of mail and press the Collect button to receive any money or items. Be sure to read your mail!
To send mail, simply click the Send tab at the bottom of the menu and fill out the form. Attach any items to the mail by dropping that item in the "Attachments" box and press Send. "Mail Sent Successfully" will appear on your screen. Note that the postage for all mail sent, regardless of content, is 100 clink.
The Auction House and Mail can be utilized for many successful purposes, from establishing crafting-trading workshops to effectively managing clan resources and equipment exchange! Make sure to explore all the aspects of these great tools.
